COVID BOOSTERS

You can get Flu and/or Covid Vaccine at the same time, with the one appointment.

To get Covid Booster, it must be 3 months since previous booster or Covid Infection. 

The vaccine that will be given is the newest adapted

FLU VACCINE

The free flu vaccine 2023/2024 for ADULTS  is now available for all those over the age of 65 and those in the 'at risk groups' listed below.

ELIGIBILITY FOR  COVID-19 BOOSTER 

You can get the covid booster if you are in categories below:

  • those aged 50 years and older

  • those aged 5-49 with immunocompromise associated with a suboptimal response to vaccination

  • those aged 5-49 with medical conditions associated with a higher risk of COVID-19 hospitalisation, severe disease or death

  • those aged 18-49 who, following discussIon of their reasons with a health care provider (eg: GP, pharmacist or vaccination centre), request vaccination

  • health care workers 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADULT FLU VACCINE

You should get the flu vaccine (which is free of charge) if you are in one the 'at risk' groups below:

  • 65 years or over

  • pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy)

  • long term health condition (those aged 13 to 64) such as respiratory disease, heart disease, diabetes, liver,  kidney, blood, or neurological disease, any cancers

  • weak immune system

  • Obesity and have a BMI >40

  • healthcare worker

  • household contact of someone with long term health condition

  • live in a nursing home or other long term care facility

  • Those in regular contact with pigs, poultry or waterfowl

  • Carers and household contacts of people with increased medical risk
