WHAT EXPECT IN THE SURGERY
You will notice some changes in the way we operate due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. We would like to reassure you that despite these changes, we will maintain the same high standard of care that you are used to.
These changes are for you safety and for the safety of our staff. We follow strict infection control guidelines. All our staff are screened daily for fever and symptoms and perform regular hand hygiene. Examination rooms and equipment are cleaned thoroughly after every patient
WHEN YOU ATTEND THE SURGERY FOR AN APPOINTMENT....
We respectfully ask you to attend your appointment alone, as far as possible unless you need a chaperone.
We advise you to wait in your car if possible until your appointment time in order to limit the length of time you spend in the surgery.
We will ask you to ring the bell on arrival and someone will let you in.
You will be asked to wear a mask and use hand sanitiser (which we will provide for you) before you enter the surgery.
Doctors and nurses will also be wearing masks, aprons, gloves and goggles. It is important to prepare children for this.
We ask you to observe social distancing in the surgery at all times, particularly if you need to use our waiting room. (It is no longer possible for us to leave toys and reading materials in the waiting room).
Internal doors will be opened for you, or left open to allow you to move freely through them.
If you need a prescription, it will be sent directly your preferred pharmacy. If you need a referral letter it will be sent directly to the referral point of care. Any other paperwork or certificates can be sent electronically.
If you do not have a medical card, we would ask you if possible to pre-pay for your consultation over the phone, at the time of booking, or use contactless payment.
We ask you to dispose of your mask in the bin provided and re-sanitise your hands as you leave the surgery.
We will do our best to keep our surgeries running on time. We appreciate your patience and co-operation with these measures and are very happy to be able to continue to provide high standard of medical care to you and your families.
