This year in particular, it is important that you get the flu vaccine.
The flu vaccine for ADULTS
in the 'at risk groups' is now available.
The flu vaccine for CHILDREN aged between 2 and 12 years is also available.
You should get the flu vaccine (which is free of charge) if you are in one the 'at risk' groups below:
are 65 years or over
are aged between 2 and 12 years
have a long term health condition
have a weak immune system
are obese and have a BMI >40
work in healthcare or are a carer
live in a nursing home or other long term care facility
are a child with a developmental neurological disorder
were born with down syndrome
Unfortunately, as supplies are limited, the flu vaccine is currently not available to those who are not in the 'at risk' group above. We are hoping to get more vaccines and will let you know if they become available.
